HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation and its affiliate company in China, Mazda Motor (China) Co., Ltd. announced today they will donate 2 million RMB to support rescue efforts and aid a swift recovery in the region of Yunnan, China affected by the earthquake of August 3, 2014.

Nobuhiko Watabe, Mazda's Executive Officer in charge of operations in China; General Manager of China Business Division; and CEO of Mazda Motor (China) Co., Ltd. said, "I would like to offer our deepest condolences to those affected by the earthquake occurred in Yunnan province. I believe that it is the duty of those of us involved in business in China to give as much support as we can to the relief and recovery efforts that are largely being organized by the Chinese government."
